Prayer points for September 2011

BBC step focus – “Step on – towards Maturity”

Burlington items:

Give great thanks for the opportunities that the Summer has brought e.g. Soul Survivor, time for a short break, prayer walking, joint evening services

Please pray:

Sunday services
- God would speak powerfully to us as we continue The Story, in the New Testament.
- we will not gather information but receive transformation as we gather for Worship & Word
- for those that are visiting us for the first time, or considering Burlington as their new spiritual home

Small Groups

- that each group would foster prayer, encouragement and a spirit of listening to God through His word
- that groups might be a hotbed of hospitality and gather new people around them

- for a special church day planned for Sunday 2nd October 2011 called "Launch the lifeboats." Simon will lead a day for the whole church to reflect and explore Burlington's missional potential.

Ipswich Items:

- Libya and Syria affected by increasing turmoil – pray for sustained peace
- Caribbean and surrounding countries – during this hurricane season
